Klazoo ("we", "us", or "our") is an online math practice platform for students. We take the privacy of children and families seriously. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

1. Who We Collect Information From

Parents or guardians create accounts on behalf of their children. We do not allow children to register directly. All accounts require a parent email address.

2. What We Collect

• Account information: parent name, email address, and password (stored hashed).
• Student profiles: first name and grade level, created by the parent.
• Practice data: questions answered, scores, time spent, and skill progress — used to personalise the learning experience.
• Payment information: billing is handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store credit card numbers.

We do not collect photos, location data, or any government-issued identifiers.

3. How We Use It

• To deliver and personalise the practice experience for each student.
• To process subscription payments via Stripe.
• To send account-related emails (receipts, password resets). We do not send marketing emails without consent.
• To improve the platform — we may analyse anonymised, aggregated usage patterns.

We do not sell, rent, or share personal data with third-party advertisers.

4. Children's Privacy (COPPA)

Klazoo is designed for children under parental supervision. We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). Student profiles contain only a first name and grade level — no email address, no direct contact with the child. Parents can review, edit, or delete their child's data at any time by contacting us.

5. Data Retention

Account and practice data is retained for as long as the account is active. You can request deletion of your account and all associated data by emailing us. We will action deletion requests within 30 days.

6. Security

Passwords are hashed using industry-standard algorithms. Payment data is handled by Stripe (PCI-DSS compliant). We use HTTPS for all data in transit.

7. Third-Party Services

• Stripe — payment processing. Stripe Privacy Policy
• Anthropic Claude API — used to generate practice questions. Question content is sent to Anthropic for processing. No personally identifiable information is included in these requests.

8. Your Rights
